Hey,

so I'm using Firefox in the private mode on Ubuntu. I go to Facebook.com and log in. Then I chose "File" -> "new private window" (should be called something like that in the English version, mine isn't in english). When I now go to Facebook.com in the new "private window", I'm logged in there as well. So the private window isn't private at all in a sense of being isolated from the rest. This is sad & disappointing (sry, but it is for me) since it has nothing to do with what one would expect from a "new private window". Where is even the difference between a "private new window" and normal/"not private" one then? (when using private mode)

Thanks

Please have a look at this question.

Most likely, you have set Firefox to Never remember history, which is equal to Private browsing and causes no special markings of any windows.
