Does the browser securely delete the cache by wiping it several times so it can't be recovered?

I know that you can delete the cache after the browser closes. But does that really delete it securely by performing multiple passes. Also, when you are private browsing, you say that nothing is saved. Does that mean that everything viewed on that page is saved to RAM, or is it temporarily held on the hard drive and then deleted (see above for follow-up question)?

Hi

Firefox deletes the cache after the browser closes if you have been browsing the web using Private Browsing, or are manually clearing the cache.

Firefox does not carry out a secure wipe of the disk space used, for that you will need to look into other software appropriate to your operating system.
