The File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help from the Menu Bar box should be displayed all the time when you install or reset Firefox the File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help goes away then you have to right click and click on Menu Bar then they all come back if i want to print something out i can't unless it is displayed.

Your recent update has changed the date layout from 2/5/2017 8:12PM to 2/5/17, 8:12PM when you print out a receipt down the bottom of the page you get the 2/5/17, 8:12PM the older one looks better on the paper looks lazy i couldn't be bothered typing the 20 i thought going into the Change Date and Time box to change it back to what it should be but it doesn't control what gets printed on the paper put it back to 2/5/2017 8:12PM.

1MB is way to low to upload a picture i wanted to upload 2 pictures of PayPal's receipts to show you the before and after the update on how it changed the date.

This is only true on Windows, that the menu bar is hidden. I think this was a Microsoft platform convention that was adopted several years ago, and I doubt that it will be changed.

In order to call up the Print dialog when the menu bar is not visible and the Alt key doesn't show it, you can press the Ctrl+p keyboard shortcut.

Three other options:

(1) If the toolbar is displayed, you can use the Print button on the graphical application menu (icon of three horizontal bars)

(2) You can change Firefox's settings for pop-up windows so they cannot suppress the menu bar (steps at the end)

(3) You can can install an add-on that adds Print/Print Preview/Page Setup to the right-click context menu

Yes, that's ugly, I hadn't noticed. I'll research what is causing that. There might not be any easy way to change it.

Usually a screenshot can be kept under 500KB. If you are planning on posting digital photos, try cropping them down to the relevant parts to conserve bandwidth for us readers.

To keep sites from hiding the menu bar from popup windows:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste feat and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the dom.disable_window_open_feature.menubar preference to switch the value from false to true

You may also find these other settings interesting:

  • Show scrollbars when needed (may be necessary if you require extra bars in the window): dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars => true
  • Show the full toolbar in pop-up windows instead of just the address bar: dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar => true
