On Firefox Android I would like orientation:auto, it this possible? I asked this question previously but my question disappeared without any answer given. So I'm asking again. Why would something as simple as landscape/portrait rotation control be disabled or not working in Firefox Android? It now seems we are stuck on portrait permanently? This is a deal breaker when making web apps that rely on or are optimized for landscape view such as web app games.

Previously in about:config there was "app.orientation.default", which my previous question referred to, but since updating to newer Firefox version in April 2017, that item has vanished.

In about:config, there's a bunch of options in there, but nowhere can I find any guide or reference for what they all mean. Is there any document on the internet that describes the options in about:config, or is it some big secret what they all mean?

I have used Firefox on a few Android phones and not seen any where auto rotation could not be used, it is something you toggle on or off in the Android settings not in a Firefox setting.

The about:config settings and the related preferences are no big secret, but it is usually better to use other options to change setting where possible. Not too certain what documentation we have on this relating to Android, so I am also including info relating to Firefox Desktop as used on PCs as it may be helpful to you

Thanks. I was under the impression there was a separate option in FF to override the Android auto-rotate setting, but it seems there is not. I prefer to leave the global Android auto-rotate off as I don't like auto-rotation on most apps, but do want it for web browsing.

Thanks for links.
