Users on the our intranet are receiving update notifications at least once per day if not multiple times per day - this is unacceptable. Our IT Security policies prohibit any automatic updates from ANY application and, like most secure intranets, users are not allowed to install or update applications. Your release strategy is causing a lot of headaches in the way we push updates to users.

Why can't you offer an option in Options --> Updates which allows admins to pass through a download and update on a WEEKLY basis; whereby, all updates within the last week are bundled and pushed?

If there is already a solution for this issue, please point me in the right direction, and I will be very happy to integrate it.

Thanks.

hi, lnigh, you appear to be using the experimental nightly build, which receives nightly updates. if your requirements ask for a more stable environment you shouldn't use pre-release software but stick with the regular firefox or firefox esr builds which have a update cycle of 6-8 weeks.
