When using YouTube, the Adobe flash plugin crashes immediately and states that my browser does not recognize any of the video formats available . Yes, it's the latest version. The suggested fix is to use the HTML5 player. Where do I go in Firefox to designate the HTML5 player as the default ?

Am noticing in supplied information that there has been some video card crashing or just errors. could you please update your video drivers or re-install them https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration Also try without Hardware Acceleration.

I notice you have a Avast SafePrice pluggin and Avast Online Security installed in the Firefox Plug-ins could you please try disabling them and try the video that were not being played again after disable then re-start Firefox.

If it plays properly then this is a Avast Issue you will need to bring up with them in their support forum.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thank you Pkshadow, I had just installed the latest video drivers from NVIDIA. I went to Firefox addons and disabled Flash Player for YouTube - everything is working fine now ;o) Happy to have music again, Frankster47
