address book disappears when trying to forward e mail

"Disappears"? That suggests it appears then vanishes. Is this what you mean?

F9 should make the Contacts Sidebar at the left appear if it has gone.

Thank You. I should have said " Address pane did not show up in write mode." f9 key restored it.
