Is there a way to filter address book groups (mailing lists) to folders?
I have folders in Gmail for work, personal, business, etc, and my contacts are all members of related groups. Or I can set up mailing lists in Thunderbird that are similar. I want to make a filter that has a command "if sender is member of XXX group, moves XXX folder." Other mail clients allow me to do so. Can Thunderbird?

Thanks for the quick response. I love the service you offer. Unfortunately, exporting OS X contacts only works as vCards for ALL the contacts. Importing them does not preserve groups. Unfortunately, Contacts Groups cannot be exported as vCards through the menu, but I found a work around:
Chose the Contacts group you want to export. Make sure all the names are selected in the group, not just the top name. Drag the Group icon to your desktop. It'll be saved as vCARD, so import that into TB. Wonderful!

TB filters only offer 'is (or isn't) in my address book', and then you specify the address book. It shouldn't take too long to make address books from mailing lists, as contacts can be copied from the latter to the former by drag and drop, while holding the Ctrl key. Create an address book from the File/New... menu in Address Book.
This helps. Now, is there a way to copy addresses from my Mac OS X Address book to another address book I made? I want the to turn the lists in my Mac address book into address books in Thunderbird. Dragging does not work.
It appears that you can export the OS X contacts to a vCard (vcf) file, so I suggest you try importing that via Tools/Import... Address books...vCard file... select the vcf file.
