Remember logins and passwords for websites keeps getting unchecked
For the last few days, Firefox keeps unchecking the Remember logins and passwords for websites option every time the browser restarts.
If I disable the Roboform addon, the option will remain checked.
I have used Firefox for logins and Roboform for form filling for years without any issue but, within the last week, this issue has cropped up making it impossible to use both together.
Does anyone know how to get back to a situation where both are working? I've noticed other similar threads popping up in the last week but for other software/password managers. has FF 57.0.2 prevented the ability to use a third-party password manager and Firefox's login & password manager?

Most of the addons/Extensions were still being made and tested when ver 57 was released Nov 14th. Think it s more of a teething thing as this is a brand new baby in all it's code (no longer patched Netscape code) and took over 5yrs to make. Addons had a yr to make. I have seen many addons getting weekly/daily updates still.
So you know what it is. That's far far ahead of most people. Good Work. it was just updated 6 days ago to 8.4.3.8 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/roboform/ It does have a Support page and a Contact info. Lets see if there is a cure as it stands now.
Please Refresh but do this 1st:
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
then
TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I've found the previous version of the Roboform addon here;
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/roboform/versions/
After reverting to the 8.4.3.4 Roboform Password Manager and disabling updates for the addon, all is back to normal.
I'll try updating the main Roboform program to 8.4.3.8 and see what happens when that is paired to the 8.4.3.4 addon.
One last thing. In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
See:
The behavior described by you is by design in Chrome and Firefox. A user can disable RoboForm extension to enable the built-in password manager in the browser. The user is intended to use either at a time, not both.
