Night of 1/6-7/18 the menu bar disappeared from my Firefox browser & when "File" re-appeared I could no longer do a Print Preview of webpages - is there a fix?

more options

The Print Preview in the drop down from "File" still works when in any windows application (say, LibreOffice Writer or Wordpad or Notepad) but not for getting a preview of a web page or e-mail in the Firefox Browser I want to print out. It is very helpful to be able preview a webpage or e-mail prior to print out as one can resize/re--scale or chose a landscape vs portrait orientation or chose which page(s) to print out so as capture information I need printed out without wasting excess paper for info from the page that I don't need in the printout. This has always worked for me on this Windows 10 laptop until last Saturday, a prior Windows XP laptop with Firefox and on a friend's Windows 7 and now Windows 10 desktop with Firefox. Why would it stop working now? I added the Print Preview Icon button to the Firefox Toolbar? Menu bar? per one of the support items that came up when I did a Print Preview search the community help section here but nothing happens -- same as when I click on Print Preview in the drop down from "File" since last Saturday. The Print selection in the drop down from File, and most other selections in the drop down from "File" that I have tried still work but I've wasted several sheets of paper in the meantime by not being able adjust the printouts to the minimum or size that I need printed out

When you call up Print Preview, either using the menu or the button, you do not get any error message -- just nothing happens?

Could you try resetting the printer information as described in this article: Fix printing problems in Firefox.

Otherwise, in case the program files were damaged during the last update, you could try:

Clean Reinstall

We use this name, but it's not about removing your settings, it's about making sure the program files are clean (no inconsistent or alien code files). As described below, this process does not disturb your existing settings. It's not essential to uninstall Firefox, but you can if you like, saying No to any request about removing personal data.

It only takes a few minutes.

(A) Download a fresh installer for Firefox to a convenient location:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

(B) Exit out of Firefox (if applicable).

If you use Microsoft Office, please change your default browser to Internet Explorer, Chrome or Edge before the next step. You can change it back later after Firefox is up and running after reinstallation.

(C) Using Windows Explorer/My Computer (hold down the Windows key and press E), right-click > rename the program folder as follows (you might have one or both):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox =to=> C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox =to=> C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

(D) Run the installer you downloaded in step (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

Any improvement?
