The webpage at URL https://www.lequipe.fr/ auto-refreshes every once in a while (issue 1), and after refresh I need to scroll vertically to retrieve where I was at (issue 2, and I'm not sure whether it's because some content may have been added at top of the page).

Is there any way to block the auto-refresh?

I used to block the auto-refresh with the Refresh Blocker add-on, prior the firefox update to Quantum (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/refresh-blocker/).

I'm using firefox Quantum 57.0.3 (64 bit) on Windows 7.

This answer is exactly opposite the solution requested. The inquirer wants to STOP automatic refreshes, yet you link to an add on to auto-refresh any page. Do you have actual humans answering these things? #derp
