Hello,

I have an online calendar using the Booked!/phpscheduleit system. It outputs calendar data by publishing an ics file to a URL.

Lightning is configured to display this ics feed as a calendar, which works very nicely.

However, if a user changes or deletes an appointment, Lightning does not update. Manual sync makes no difference.

If I delete and recreate the calendar in Lightning, it shows the correct appointments.

I presume that Lightning is only looking for new events, and if someone changes an event the ID stays the same and so Lightning doesn't see it as a new event.

This is a big problem, because I actually don't know what bookings I have when I look at Lightning, so I have to look at the Booke! system anyway defeating the object of calendar integration.

Is there a way that I can fix this?

Peter

Who provides the ICS file. Perhaps if I understood their system a little I might understand your problem.

When you set up the ICS file, is it done as "on the network"?

Thanks, as I mentioned the booking system is Booked!/phpscheduleit https://www.bookedscheduler.com/phpscheduleit

It is an online resource booking system that allows users to make their own reservations. The system then creates an ics file for a given schedule. When I manually download the ics file, it is correct as per the 'live' calendar, however neither Lightning nor Google Calendar seem to pay attention to moved or removed events, only to new events.

An Android app, icalsync, does notice removed events, but it only syncs with my local Android calendar.

Yes, it is set up as a network calendar.
