Problem with printing email attachments from google drive and gmail

more options

No problems printing a webpage through the Print tab of the Firefox browser. The problem is when I want to print either an email attachment (gmail), or a file opened in Google Drive. In the viewer screen, I click on the print icon and an new tab opens, which is completely white and empty. An nothing else happens. I noticed that for each time I follow this procedure a strange file appears in my Downloads folder. Here an example of the strange filename: ACFrOgBab2vl4V95VxygWfT_BWgB_661YMyRFKqxxy5VfPZp0hmWVusmAqvxNIzZ0mfoUPz58WZClfEUwA4Rak7q3JitGoqvljmnU-ugDF0eOgz69UfnodD6U2RrLXE=

I always can download the attachment or file and then print it without any problems. But this is a step back and costs time. Any help is appreciated. Thansk you.

I logged into gmail from FF and went to a email with a pdf attachment clicked on it and opened a separate browser screen with print option and I choose the print option and it printed without problems. So either your FF was badly installed or updated to cause the problem or something else like your A/V or Firewall is causing the problem.

Hi xewpas, do you know whether the attachment is a type of content that can display in a tab -- text, HTML, or PDF -- or whether you would normally get the download dialog with the options to open or save that kind of file?

When you click a link to a type of content Firefox can't display, sometimes a blank tab opens, Firefox displays the download dialog, and then Firefox closes the empty tab. It sounds like your Firefox might be getting stuck part of the way through that process.
