When I launch Firefox from the command line the tab(s) always crash and I can't use Firefox.
I am running CentOS7 with Mozilla Firefox 52.7.2 When I execute the following from the command line: /usr/bin/firefox Firefox launches and displays the following: Gah. Your tab just crashed. From where I launched this I receive the following output: [Parent 50353] WARNING: pipe error (68): Connection reset by peer: file /builddir/build/BUILD/firefox-52.7.2/firefox-52.7.2esr/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 322 [Parent 50353] WARNING: pipe error (75): Connection reset by peer: file /builddir/build/BUILD/firefox-52.7.2/firefox-52.7.2esr/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 322 [Parent 50353] WARNING: pipe error (73): Connection reset by peer: file /builddir/build/BUILD/firefox-52.7.2/firefox-52.7.2esr/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 322 [Parent 50353] WARNING: pipe error (71): Connection reset by peer: file /builddir/build/BUILD/firefox-52.7.2/firefox-52.7.2esr/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/ipc_channel_posix.cc, line 322

It should be noted that if I am on the console and launch Firefox through the Applications menu it works just fine.
Essentially when launching firefox via the command line it is not usable I must launch it using the GUI.
I have tried disabling hardware acceleration, I have no plugins installed this is clean our of the box install of Cent0S 7. This system has no access to the internet and I am only trying to view local files... Any help would be very much appreciated.

We actually found a work around for the issue. If you enter about:config search for browser.tabs.remote.autostart2 and change that from true to false it fixes this issue.
