can't maximize Thunderbird email screen to desktop
My email screen does not fill my computer screen and there is a taskbar on the right side that used to be at the bottom. How do I get back to a full screen.

I find double clicking in the heading of the window between the tabs and the calendar icons maximizes the window.
Does pressing F8 modify this "taskbar" like turn it on and off. or is it the today pane that needs you to press the X beside the events and tasks heading.
