Does Firefox want me to enable third party cookies?

Just updated and Firefox tells me I can't access my account without enabling cookies. Trouble is, cookies ARE enabled, just not third party cookies. Do you really want me to enable third party cookies (I won't)? And why (are you nuts?)?

For the Firefox Account (Sync) you need to allow cookies for the accounts.firefox.com domain.

HI, why would you think this is Firefox. No idea where you are in the world but the EU has really good Privacy Rules, and must ask politely for your data while US can demand and cut off access. I have noticed a large increase of sites blocking 4inches of the page or big banners and notices in the last week especially with adblockers. You did not have send info to Mozilla checked so I can see what extensions you are using which I could suggest something with. A new trend I would think.

Might try something on this list :

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I also have this problem. I think this is Firefox, and not an addon, because it's the Firefox webpage giving the error (see screenshot) I will not enable all third-party cookies, either. Is there a way to allow the accounts.firefox.com domain cookies without allowing everything else? If not, this is a ridiculous feature.

You could try adding an exception on the Options page and see whether that works:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the left column, click Privacy & Security.

On the right side, in the Cookies & Site Data section, click the Exceptions button. Enter:

https://accounts.firefox.com

and click the Allow button. Then click the Save Changes button.

On the login, reload bypassing the cache (Ctrl+Shift+r).

Does it work any better?
