How to prevent horizontal scrolling on all sites? namely to prohibit, and not just hide the band.

Horizontal scroll would only appear if the webpage is too big for the window.

Check your zoom controls.

<Control> (Mac=<Command>) + (plus) enlarge - (minus) reduce 0 (zero) restore
