why is sync not getting desktop bookmarks in new android phone?

My old android 4.4 phone has in bookmarks a folder titled Desktop Bookmarks. When opened it gives me Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Other Bookmarks. Each of these folders contains bookmarks that are copied from Firefox on my desktop. I just got a new android 7.0 phone and installed Firefox and registered the phone. When I go to Options>Firefox Account>Manage Devices, under Devices & Apps I find Firefox on both my old and new phone. But no Desktop Bookmarks folder on my new phone.

OOPS - while I was typing this the Desktop Bookmarks folder did show up with all of my bookmarks. Would not have asked this question if there had been an indication that sync was in progress. The actual indication, which happened after just a few seconds, was that the sync was completed. I am submitting this anyway as I think the feedback during this process needs to be looked at.

Thank you for your feedback.

I do know that the team that helps build Firefox Sync is due to roll out some improvements to the servcie very soon that may help reduce the chaces of what you are seeing from happening.
