I am 83 and only have a PC and do not want anything to sync to phone or anything else. Please tell me how to stop constant notice to upgrade Firefox, or I shall be forced to find another browser.

if you're inclined to do so, you can disable the tab that shows up during updates like this:

enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone. double-click it and change its value to ignore.

Hi Virginiafarmer, your Firefox identified itself as today's brand new release! The last release was several weeks ago, and Firefox updates itself automatically, so you shouldn't get getting a lot of notices about upgrading.

Where do you see the notices? Sometimes the ones promoted on websites, especially with annoying popups, are scams. Please ignore those.

Regarding Sync, you can ignore that option if you're not interested.

The Sync feature is being promoted in a new tab every time that Firefox gets updated. Just ignore that message and close the tab - disabling updates isn't the answer.
