Not able to remove Insecure password warning
I followed the instructions to remove the "Insecure password warning" in about:config by changing: security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled and signon.autofillForms.http
My problem is that I still get the insecure password warning when I try to log onto the IP address of one of the devices on my local network. The warning prevents me from seeing the characters I type and I can't tell if the characters are being accepted or where they will appear when I press "Enter". Trying to log in on this page is confusing and unpredictable.
I tried restarting Firefox. Is there anything else I need to do to turn off the Insecure password warning?
I am not able to copy a screen image showing the Insecure password warning because clicking on anything or hitting any key causes the warning message to disappear. (Hiding the warning message does not stop the unpredictable behavior I described above.)
Thanks very much, Lloyd

Thanks very much to Wesley and jscher. It was a combination of two things that were causing my problem.
I had been experimenting with the Configuration Mania plugin, and I had turned on the option to "Highlight focused objects with color", which used a dark green color to indicate the object. That is the same dark green color that is used by the Insecure password warning.
The other problem was as Wesley suggested. Either the change I had made to security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled got lost or perhaps I accidentally clicked to change it twice so it was changed it back to the original value.
Hitting the ESC key (or any other key) would remove the Insecure password warning, but it left a box for entering the login information that was partly dark green and did not show anything that I would type.
Changing the Configuration Mania option to turn off "Highlight focused objects with color" fixed the problem. It did not have anything to do with the Insecure password warning message.
Thanks very much for the help!

You want to set the security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled
preference in about:config
to false
.
Hope this helps.
NOTE: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.
The layout of some pages causes the panel that drops down from the field to float over it. In that case, pressing the Esc key should remove it so you can access the fields. It's an extra step you hopefully can remove, but have you tried that workaround for now?
