Hello! I copied a URL into Firefox Focus and now, anytime I go to type anything else in the address bar, that URL that I copied appears as an option below. I’ve not yet discovered any means of clearing that. I’ve closed and reopened the app; I’ve restarted my phone... all to no avail. How can a browser possibly be considered private when the history is erased but previous activity is automatically stored and revealed, immediately visible and offered, by default, without even being prompted?

This should work like described here: Autocomplete settings in the Firefox Focus address bar.

Hello, TyDraniu!

Thank you for your help! I did and do have Autocomplete disabled. It seems that the app stores copied URLs for a period of time and then they disappear. I find no clear answers to this but I appreciate your suggestion. I've noticed that the copied URL stopped appearing so I tried it again... making certain that Autocomplete was disabled. The results are the same as before. Once I copy a URL into the Firefox Focus app, it will appear as an option as soon as I type ANYTHING, regardless of whether anything I type is part of that copied URL. This happens even between separate sessions when the app has been closed and reopened.

I wish your suggestion was a solution but, unfortunately, the issue is the same.

Thanks again!

Hi

I believe that this issue (linked to the Android technology) is being looked into at the moment by our developers and I believe it may be fixed in a future update to Firefox Focus for Android.
