I am trying to transition from MS Edge to Firefox. I frequently use the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administrations weather services (for example, https://forecast.weather.gov/).

Weather maps loop (show motion) without a problem in Edge (for example, https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=N0R&rid=FFC&loop=yes). But they do not show a map and they do not display an error in Foxfire.

I tried the javascript manager add-in and made https://radar.weather.gov/ and exception to allow, but it did not work, and it caused problems with other pages I use multiple times a day, so I removed it. I saw the sequence about a similar problem with he weather underground weather maps, but I as best as I can tell https://radar.weather.gov/ is not blacklisted.

How do I get NOAA's weather maps to loop (move) in Foxfire? Do I just need to give up and use Edge?

Thanks for the help. I ran through all these options, and "loop" still did not work.

I also asked the radar.weather.gov webmaster what I should do. He asked if I needed to activate Flash. I have tried to do that before and "chased-my-tail" all around the FireFox web site and Options to no avail.

I tried again with the same run-around-in-circles results.

So I finally, gave up, went to the Adobe site, installed Flash, restarted Firefox, and now I have Flash on my list of plug-ins.

AND the radar maps LOOP!!!!!!!

This was really a dumb-dumb, level zero fix. But it sure would have been nice if some of the Firefox help articles included it. Especially, when I am in the Firefox add ins. I searched for "flash". It returned many special Flash for YouTube, face time, ... themes ..., but if plain old Adobe Flash is there, it is very well hidden.

Maybe moz://a will pick this up and upgrade their help.

Thanks again for the reply and the ideas.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Fred,

Thanks.  :)

I tried to do what you asked, "Flag my Post as a solved problem". Did I get it right, or is there something else I need to do?
