FF 63.0 64 bit linux Not Prompted to save new log-in

more options

Hello, Just signed up at https://signup.zone website (my first experience with a .zone TLD) and I am not being prompted to save my log-in credentials. I see no way to manually add them and when I look for signup.zone, the list is empty.

I have no problem navigating the website. I just have to manually log in.

I have had absolutely no issue with Firefox other than the slide bar coloring is opposite that of all my other Linux program windows. I'm not concerned about that. It is what it is.

This IBM Server is running Linux Mint 17.3, 64 bit with MATE Desktop. This is the fastest computer I've ever had.

Hello FirefoxinUbuntu,

Does it prompt to save the login when you use another browser  ?

The login page on that website may be containing a piece of code that is used as a standard to tell the web browser not to prompt the user to save the password for security reasons. (added source code to the password input box that has an autocomplete=”off”)

I looked at the page source, all JavaScript, nothing but. Somebody else asked the same thing I did with, I thought, better-chosen words: "How do I manually ADD login data to my password-manager?"

There is a Passwoes Editor extension there that would have let mt add the Signup Zone on FF 56 or earlier. The chosen answer's click suggestion does nothing for me.

I will fire-up Chromium, just installed and report the results. (My first look at G**g** Chrome left me totally confused! -- I rely on the "File, Edit, ..., Help" menu for everything.

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.

Am able to save my password and user name on Signup.Zone using "Version 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu , running on LinuxMint 17.3 (64-bit)" Chromium. Once I used a PERIOD instead of a COMMA to try to open "signup.zone" it brought the page up. I rbought up the log-in screen and entered my data, signed in. Signed out, brought up the sign-in page and was prompted to save my data, checked yes and there it was, for me to sign in .I was then offered to be signed into Chrome and make it available to my "other devices." I have to see if I can reset to brand new, try it again Edited to clean up typing misssteaks :)
