When waking my laptop from sleep while firefox was open, the suggested sites bar under the address bar is shown and frozen. I can get rid of it and refreshing my page doesn't remove it either, it stays there covering half of my screen. And a fresh install of firefox didn't help either

Hi Phya,

I understand that the suggested sites in the url bar are freezing in Firefox. I think you might have a very large profile file.

Can you share the size of the places.sqlite file in your profile, I think you might be experiencing some performance issues.

  1. One step we can take to test this is to verify the integrity of the places file from the about:support page. Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.
  2. Open up the page and scroll down to "Places" and click on "Verify Integrity"
  3. You can also find the size here

Another troubleshooting step I would recommend would also to be to refresh Firefox. Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and fix problems

I have noticed it seems to happen when changing from tablet mode to desktop mode. thanks
