Hi,

Since Firefox updated I can no longer make Google my page when a new tab is opened. Instead it says "Firefox" and gives a search bar. I want the entire Google page, links to gmail, Google doodles and all! Please fix this! I'm hating it!

TY

I use a free addon called New Tab Override (WebExtension) which is listed on the standard Firefox addon page. It solved the problem completely for me.

This extension will let you do something as simple as making the new tab come up with your already-selected home page - or you have a bunch of other options to pick from. By the way, on the settings page it is called "New Tab — Settings" which was its old name (before Firefox made everyone switch to WebExtensions for addons). No worry, however. Same app.

For me, it just sits there in the background and works.

Did you check your settings options to save the google page as the opened page?

Yes, they no longer give us that option. Only Firefox with a search box or a blank page. That's it.
