I created two different profiles with different bookmark under the same firefox account. I can open two firefox windows using -p profile1 and -p profile2 and they remember the correct pages and are logged with the right accounts. The problem is that any change I make on bookmarks of profile1 are synced to the bookmarks of profile2. I thought they should be different. Is it a bug? A settings I can turn off?

Thanks

That is expected behavior when you connect both profiles to the same Sync account. If you use Sync then personal data from all connected devices is uploaded to the Sync server and merged to other device, so eventually all devices have the same bookmarks. To keep the bookmarks separate you need to use separate Firefox accounts or exclude the bookmarks from Sync.

I suspected that, but it is a weird behavior that conflicts with the idea of having different profiles for different bookmarks https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

I just moved from chrome and there profiles bookmarks are split also in sync, and it sounds much more something coherent

but thanks for your quick reply!
