INABILITY TO RE-ACTIVATE TEMPORARILY DISABLED AD-BLOCKERS

more options

I need your help: I cant solve this problem: The interface is lacking in options:

I added three add-ons to Firefox in Android: U-Block Origin, Ghostery and Privacy Badger. In order to access a website, I had to temporarily disable U-Block Origin. After my business was concluded, I WAS UNABLE TO REACTIVATE IT, or to find any means on the interface with which to do so.

I am now drowning in ads again. I have tried cycling the app, even uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. No joy there. When I try to download the addons, the interface forbids it, and gives me an error message.

Hi WarwickAlderman, as you may know, there has been a general problems with add-ons for the past 72 hours. In order for your Firefox to be able to install and run most extensions, it needs a new certificate. That is included in the 66.0.4 update that is available now on Google Play.

If you launch the Play app and check the My Apps (or whatever it's called), you should be able to update Firefox there.

Any luck?

Thanks for your prompt help. I actually solved the problem unilaterally, before your email arrived! I downloaded the update to Firefox from the play store, and the new updated app allowed me to reinstall my three favoured ad blockers:

When you've made use of an efficient ad blocker, you certainly notice it's absence, when, once again, you are drowining in google ads. Phew! Thank God for U-Block origin!
