Can one sort identities?
I have one email account - Gmail doesn't count! - but many identities (several 10s of 'em!). Is there a way to sort these identities alphabetically? There seems not to be an option in Tools, Account Settings, Manage Identities, and I can't find anything in the Config Editor. I've looked mostly in mail.identity. and mail.identity.id1.
As an aside, I have an identity for pretty much every organisation that I regularly contact. It's a wonderful way of stopping spam. Also, it would be less onerous to change one identity if an account is compromised.

You have probably tried the direct method given here:

The Identity Chooser add-on offers identity sorting, although it's done manually, not alphabetically as you desire.

Thanks sfhowes,
I've only had Identity Chooser for a few hours and hadn't spotted those up and down arrows in the options when I first looked at the add-on. I had a quick peek at the mozillaZine page earlier.
My problem is partly self-inflicted, in that that all my IDs start with my initials - seemed like a good idea at the time, when I set up the first few - but is now a bit cumbersome.
Anyhoo, consider my question partly solved unless there is is a much easier option. (I'll leave it unsolved for a little longer.)
Thanks again.
