If I want Grammarly to be incorporated into Thunderbird, someone needs to make an add-on extension?

I do not know how it all works. I know some apps and SaaS's can incorporate Grammarly like Chrome, but it is an extension created by Grammarly.

So I guess I answered my own question. I need to ask Grammarly to make one for Thunderbird?

That would be nice, especially as they have one for Firefox and Thunderbird will largely support the web extensions Firefox uses after the next major release. The API used is under development now and they are looking for things add-on developers need to make their add-ons work.

Until they change their ways, the link is what grammarly have to say on the subject. https://support.grammarly.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000271852-How-can-I-check-my-emails-with-Grammarly-
