This must have been asked over and over, but I've not been here before, so please forgive me. I cannot seem to find a simple dictionary extension for Firefox Quantum, something which defines a highlighted word. The one in Chrome works just fine, but I prefer to use Firefox. We used to have pop-up dictionaries, but they seem to have gone away. A search on the extensions page invariable deals only with translation dictionaries. Should I just stop looking for one, or am I missing something. Thanks.

It looks like perhaps the Dictionary Anywhere or Definition Dictionary extensions are what you are looking for. These extensions both appear to automatically pop up with definitions if you double click on a word you want to select.

Other than that, there's also other extensions like Oxford Dictionary or English Popup Dictionary that also make it easy to look up words. They also claim to have the popup functionality, but I couldn't get that to work.

Hope this helps.
