After an update of firefox all of my data was gone (settings, bookmarks, logins, history). The profile is still there but it looks like it cannot be loaded for some reason. The data is very important so I must recover it (especially the history). I have made several attempts to get it back, but it all resulted in firefox loading without any settings (no passwords, no history).

- Reinstalled firefox and selected my old profile - fresh installation removed all settings and then copied the essential files of my old profile (made a backup before) to the new one. - Made sure permissions of profile folder are valid

Is there a way to at least get the history and the logins back? Everything else is not that important anyway.

Hi, please see Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
