How to import messages incl. attachments from Incredimail into Thunderbird?
Incredimail stops within a few days (on the 20-st of march 2020). I'm thinking of starting to use Thunderbird as e-mail client. The complete message store of Incredimail is now stored on my D-drive in one directory called 'IM'. Is it possible to import this complete directory into Thunderbird? If yes, can someone please tell me HOW? Do I need to install TB first? Importing contacts seems no problem, as I have already exported the contacts into a csv-format. Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

It looks like I succesfully converted my Identies-file into mbox with the Turgs email conversion tool. Thank you.
Now I have to import the mbox into TB. However all TB add-ons seem to be NOT verified by Mozilla and the add-ons I download will not install. I have set the xpi-files to open with FireFox.
Are there new add-ons that are verified and that will install in TB?

re :I have set the xpi-files to open with FireFox. You do not open xpi files. Thunderbird installs the addon from that downloaded *.xpi file Please read info at link as it will help you.

Mbox files can also be imported manually: Help/Troubleshooting, click Open Folder to open the profile folder, close TB, copy the mbox files into Mail/Local Folders. When TB is restarted, the folders will appear as subfolders of Local Folders in the Folder Pane.

The add-on for importing mail is mentioned above, or you can do it manually.
To import a csv, Tools/Import... Address books....Text file... select the csv. It often helps to edit the csv before importing:
