When you use the search box at the upper right, there should be buttons above the hit list to limit your results to "Community Discussion only". Is that what you meant?

Oh, I see, the search box appears when you start scrolling down the page. It's not in the header when you first load the page.

There's also a huge search box on the home page of https://support.mozilla.org/

I think I found what I am looking for.

Under "contributor tools" then "advance search" then I select the "discussion forum" tab and enter my search.

I am still having trouble with the search. As an example I was trying to serch for and find FF support forum that contains "www.Pluto.tv" but I keep getting the message "We couldn't find any results for www.Pluto.tv in English. Maybe one of these articles will be helpful? "

to perform the search I go to "contributor tools"-Advance search, then select forum dicussion tab and then enter the search "www.pluto.tv" in the search field.

You can possibly use a keyword bookmark (sumo) and use that to search the forum.

There are three tabs:

If you want to search for support threads, use that second category, not the third one.
