I realized at some moment i cant download any files shared from google drive. When i click download now the page just refresh and nothing happens. Regardless of size, 100MB or 10GB. I must use Chrome to download from there. It must have happened after some update, long time ago. I reinstalled firefox fully, cleared regkeys and all folders. Now i tried with fresh installed one without changing any settings. 64x like my system. Why firefox has a problem with that?

Do other aspects of Google Drive work normally, for example, you can preview images or documents in the browser?

Can you download on other sites normally, it's just Google Drive?

yes normally all functions works. But what i really mean is when a file is shared to public, where you dont even need to login or anything, just preview and download. Also i can find this shared file in personal g.drive and try to download but this happens:

redirection loop between these: docs.google.com accounts.google.com

Its a common issue still not fixed:

Hmm, if you don't need to be logged in, I wonder why there is a loop with accounts.google.com?

Any difference in a private window? Either

  • right-click > Open Link in New Private Window
  • Ctrl+Shift+p then access the link

yeah, unfortunatelly it just stopped working on this machine, no matter incognito or anyway else. But checked and I do have a prompt to save/open file on my laptop, but not on pc. I wonder what could have an impact on firefox
