You will have to add all navigation buttons you need to the web page you display.

that works, but what if normal websites are linked? Then it would be great to use the build in navigation functionality but bigger and without the URL bar.

Is it somehow possible to style firefox that way?

Kiosk mode has its limits as you can read in the article and if you need more features then you will have to refrain from using kiosk mode.

It is possible to use a userChrome.css file to hide elements in the user interface, but this is all or nothing and you can't specify for what domain you want to enable some features.
