My Thunderbird is not syncing with my gmail account to update deleted messages/reply threads.

I recently updated Thunderbird, and Windows recently updated as well. I use TB with a gmail email account, which is also on my iOS phone. After the last update, my desktop email in Thunderbird is not syncing with my gmail - it's loading new messages to my inbox, sending messages fine, but it is not reflecting the deletion of email in my Inbox or showing replies as a thread, or filing of emails that I do on my phone.

I have no idea how to fix this! :) Any help is appreciated as I don't know if this is a TB, Windows, or iOS issue.

Also should add that the spam filter in TB has been letting through a bunch of junk after the update too. Any hints on how to flag those would be great too.
