Hi Firefox Support,

I cannot drag and drop mails from my Outlook desktop app to Sharepoint Online in Firefox. It does work in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge though. Is there a setting in Firefox to enable this ?

Thanks Best regards

Hi Joeri, what happens when you try to drop the message item? Does firefox display a "no go" mouse cursor, or does the site not handle it as expected? Is there an error message?

Hi,

Actually nothing happens. There's also no error message. In other browsers the cursor changes and a rectangular dotted frame around the document libary name, when we drag a mail. When that appears we know that the drop is going to work. However none of these visual indicators appear in Firefox, and indeed nothing happens when the mail is dropped.

FYI : Firefox fully up-to-date.

Is there a setting in Firefox that prevents these kind of mail drops ?

Thanks Joeri

Hi Joeri, I've never tried it myself. Does drag and drop work with regular files, the only problem is with email messages?

Yes indeed. It works with regular files, the problem is only when dragging mails from Outlook.

Can you give this a try and confirm you're experiencing the same problem ?

Could this be a Firefox setting, or an add-in blocking this feature ?

Many thanks for your help. Joeri

I have the exact same issue. So far no answer on my question in this Community. Seems to me like no-one is going to fix this - very annoying - bug.

I'm looking to replace my browser because of this. I was using a workaround to first drop from Outlook to Windows Explorer and Explorer drag/drop to Firefox. I was using this workaround waiting for a fix.
