Keep my FF and TB installs as separate as possible from my OS installs. Have profiles in their respective app folders on a separate partition. I boot to different VHDs or partitions for choice of OS. Using batch file to delete FF and TB parent.lock files, but still having issues. Like FF bookmarks and history being used by another another app and TB not opening at all while maxing out CPU. Surely a better way to do this without repeatedly deleting FF's security files? Like a configuration settings for multi-boot systems? Thanks

"The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem."

Solution would be similar to Firefox Sync, only with a single local FF install used by multiple local OSes. NOT multiple installs of FF -- just one that can be used by my different OSes. Currently using batch file to deal with some files, but still have recurrent issues mentioned above.
