Ok I'm a big time safari user and have a pile of pinned tabs 50% were for work and the other 50% were personal. With the latest release of firefox with the security of cross site tracking you offered I moved all of my personal tabs to firefox.

My problem is that when I open firefox the pinned tabs are gone. I've added them 3 times they are pinned therfore I want the to stick around. why does firefox seem to throw them away.

I have very specific urls that I want to keep open and pinned tabs allow me to do this, If firefox can't keep them for me I will have to just go back to safari (no I don't want chrome)

Make sure you close (Quit) Firefox with all windows still open. Also make sure you do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the browsing history.

On Mac closing Firefox can be more complicated because you can close all open windows, but keep Firefox running with the menu bar visible or minimized in the Doc.

Make sure to use "Quit Firefox" with all windows still open, especially if you want to use "Restore Previous Session". Otherwise check "History -> Restore Previous Session" and "History -> Recently Closed Tabs/Windows".
