When will there be better optimization for android tablets?

Firefox is my go-to web browser and I recently got a samsung tab s7. Downloaded firefox on it, its up to date and everything, and to my surprise, you can't see your tabs at the top of the screen as in the ipad version, which I recently switched from. There also doesn't seem to be a way to force desktop sites through a toggle,it is quite annoying to manually asking for desktop site each time.

This kind of just makes it unusable on a tablet in my opinion. I've read that these features have been absent for over a year now, through other posts regarding this topic. I'm not a developer or anything but if its possible to have tabs at the top on my 7 year old ipad I don't see why it's not on the tab s7 and s7+. Is there any ETA for when these features will come to android tablets, or at least the top selling ones like from samsung and such?

To clarify more as it could be misinterpreted, by tabs at the top I'm referring to how the UI is on the desktop, where you can see multiple tabs in rectangles at the top of the screen. I do not mean having the toolbar at the bottom.
