when upgrading to the newst firefox is the password and logins carried into the new release?
my version of firefox is obsolete in security...so as many sites tell me. I want to upgrade to the newest release but am not sure what happens to my stored logins and passwords. Also, is there any way I can view the stored info...since I have been careless and not saved all of that info.

Hello,
I can very much see that your Firefox is obsolete, it still is running flash.
Your stored logins should be found at ~/.mozilla/firefox/{profile name}/logins.json
The upgrade process should be handled by your package manager, and ignore your local files, so most likely, you won't run into issues. If you are worried that you will, make a backup of your profile. The current profile can be found at about:profiles.

Thanks for your help!
Note that best is to update Firefox via "Help -> About Firefox" instead of installing the current release in case you use Firefox from the Mozilla server and not from the repositories to ensure proper profile upgrade..
