Recently, have been experiencing issues sending emails from Thunderbird using Comcast. Also, concurrently have the same issues at times sending them from my Samsung Galaxy S20+ Android phone using the installed email program.

I contacted Comcast and they had me try sending an email directly from their website which was successful. Then miraculously the issues disappeared and was able to send the emails from Thunderbird as well as my phone.

Then the issue started again about 5 days later.

Anyone have anything like this happen to them and if so, what did you do to fix it?

out of the blue the email that failed sending from my ATT Ssmaung Galaxy S20+ phone was sent and no longer getting an error message.

But sending a test from one of my Comcast email addresses to myself did not send.

I'll keep trying to isolate this and will post.

The issue is at Comcast. I know nothing of your setup or anything else, but if two different mail programs on two different operating systems have an intermittent problem, then the problem is with the server/network they are connecting to. It is almost 10 years since I heard Comcast had problems with resolving IPV6 addresses. Perhaps they have them back.

Hi Matt,

I agree with you. I just sent a test email from one of my Comcast addresses to the same one and it was sent.

I wonder what is causing this issue intermittantly? I have been using Thunderbird for almost 20 years and never experienced this issue until about 3 weeks ago. It will disappear and then suddenly reservice.

Like the email that was stuck in my Outbox on my ATT Samsung Galaxy S20+ phone. When I looked days later, it was not there and it appeared in the Sent folder!
