When I go to type something into a box in Facebook (I think it's only Facebook, it's not happening here) the screen keeps jumping so the text box moves to the very bottom of the screen. If my mouse is over anything with alt text, then I can't see what I'm typing because the status bar appears at the bottom of the screen.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

Anyone figure out how to fix this? It is happening on my computer too. Not just in Facebook but on other pages. I tried the suggestions from Cor-el but nothing changed. I does not happen in Microsoft Edge on any of the same pages it has been happening for a couple of weeks as of 3/5/22.
