STMP ERROR WITH SENDING EMAIL - GMX.COM ACCOUNT.......
Hello--
I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine. She would have written in herself, but can not send emails.
The problem she is having, and one that we have spent 4.5 hours working on, is that she can not send emails - all of a sudden. Everything was working fine, now she can not send.
The error message states that the email could not be sent, and something about the STMP is not correct. We have done everything I/we can think of and nothing seems to work. The kicker is - her settings are the exact same as mine (I too have a GMX account).
What can I/we do to fix this? I/we am/are at a loss. {If I terminate and delete the account, then add the account back (as a new one), will she lose her address book?}

The email could not been send.
Oké can you send me the complete error message or picture of the issue
If you delete the account nothing will be lost keep the login name and login password.
Can you send me Smtp reference ?

I would love to send you a picture, or the error message, but my friend can not send emails. She is in Tennessee, I am in Florida - I was trying help her by way of phone.
I could ask her to tell over the phone what it says, if that would be enough.

Check your Smtp settings.
Here’s the process to set up an SMTP for Thunderbird: open the client, select “Account Settings” from the “Tools Menu” and click on “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”. Then click “Add”: the software will display this popup window:See picture

Let me give you the good ones so you can try it.
Thunderbird. POP3: 110, 995 IMAP: 143, 220, 585, 993 SMTP: 25, 587 .
Try to use 587. Try to use 993. Try to use 995.
Security level normal if this is possible.
