Add-on [Extension?] has stopped showing in Tools menu
macOS High Sierra version 10.13.3 Thunderbird 102.1.2 (64-bit)
Hello,
I like to use the 'Manually sort folders' add-on. It used to appear in the Tools menu, but it has now disappeared from the menu. Not quite sure exactly when this happened, but it MIGHT have been when I switched to Tbird 102.
If I click on 'Add-ons and themes' in the Tools menu, 'Manually sort folders' is there, listed as 'Enabled'. How do I get it back into the Tools menu, please, so that I can use it again?
(I have 2 or 3 other add-ons/extensions enabled, which I've not got round to using, and they don't show up in the Tools menu, either.)
As always, any help appreciated. All very good wishes,
Roger Fern.

I suggest you contact the developer to confirm that the addon is working properly in 102.
Thanks for the trouble, David. I might well contact the developer. But I've discovered another aspect to the problem. As well as the iMac, on which I have the problem, I also have a MacBook. On the MacBook I also have Tbird 102.1.2. And on the MacBook, the Tools menu DOES have 'Manually sort folders'. (There's another difference: on the iMac, the Tools menu has -- at the bottom -- an item called 'ImportExportToolsNG'. This NOT on the Tools menu on the MacBook. )
This all has the appearance of a wrong button having been pressed, or an obscure box ticked or not ticked. Very frustrating.
As ever, any help appreciated. All the best,
Roger Fern.

so you have the importexport tool installed on thre mac. Hardly all that relevant I would think.
Try restarting the Thunderbird instance in troubleshoot mode on the help menu and reset all toolbars and menus when prompted. You will have to re enable add-ons after this exercise.
Tried restarting the Thunderbird instance in troubleshoot mode. The 'Thunderbird' name appeared in the Mac menu bar (top left), but the rest of the screen was blank. Had to close it by using the icon in the dock, and clicking quit. Then restarted in 'normal' mode. [PAUSE] Then went into the add-ons list and disabled 'Manually sort folders'. Then re-enabled it, hoping for the best, and -- hey presto -- there it was, back in the Tools menu. I was then able to use it. Any thoughts about what the problem might have been would be welcome (might stop it happening again), but the problem itself now seems to be 'sorted' (cross fingers).
Thanks to Matt & David for answering.
Keep up the good work.
All good wishes,
Roger Fern.
