Signing up and creating an account
Hello, I'm fairly new to Firefox. As soon as Chrome disabled ad-blockers,migrated from it. Two of my most used accounts, my personal and school, were transferred. Most schools in my area use a different email address than the official department of education email. In recent months, my school has opted to disable the school's made email and switch everything to the school's official email address. My account was created by clicking the create account button on the about profiles page[http://example.com . There was a problem creating a new account. I don't remember the error message. My school said it was already made, I just needed to sign in. There was an error message saying 'Primary account required for sign in'. I know the email address and reset my password to the default, but it still doesn't work. Is there anything I can do?

I'm a little confused about your various accounts. The about:profiles page lets you create a new profile, which is a new identity (similar to a Chrome/Edge person/profile) with associated local storage folders. Profiles can share a single Firefox Account (if you want the data to mix), or can have their own Firefox Accounts (if you have multiple email addresses), or they can be strictly local and not connect to any Firefox Account.
In order to create a new Firefox Account, there would be an extra step when the new profile window opens. But you might not have to create a new account -- let's see whether you can update the email address on your existing account first.
The way Firefox Accounts allow switching your email assumes you still have access to your primary account -- the system will send a confirmation message to that address. If messages sent to your original email address are getting forwarded to your new address, I think you can do it:
- First add your new address to your account: Add a secondary email address to Mozilla accounts
- Then swap primary and secondary: Change the primary email address on your Mozilla account
Any luck?
