Is there a simple method to turn off the annoying popup notifications about upgrading Firefox? I don't want to upgrade, FF seems to be working fine. Sometimes updates bring new problems.

I'm not a programmer, so I'm hoping there is a simple fix to stop update notices. I think it was a bad idea to have them appear in front of other websites. They often popup when I'm watching something on Netflix.

Haven't found a solution to this Firefox problem. I'm not interested in learning to program, so I've switched to Opera for now.

If anyone is curious, here's a discussion between programmers on Superuser.com:

As of now there is no option to just disable them but what you can try is to set the option where it says to update automatically when browser is not in use.
