emails automatically being deleted
Emails that I receive in Mail for Windows, when deleted, also delete the same email from Thunderbird, but not the other way around.
How do I stop this and recover those lost emails?

This is the way imap works, you delete or change a message in mail client X, it is propagated and seen in other mail clients.
