When I go to a website and click on an email address the New Message form does not come up. I have gone to Windows and made sure Thunderbird is set up as my default email address. Chatgpt said: Check Thunderbird Settings

   Open Thunderbird.
Go to Tools > Options (or Preferences on macOS).
Click on the Advanced tab, then General tab.
Ensure Thunderbird is set as the default mail client.

But when I go to tools I cannot find an options link.

Please advise. Thanks!

This is one of my frustrations with thunderbird, although I love it of course. The problem is that the menu bar has 'tools' that link to 'settings' and then to set default, but the hamburger menu's tool menu does not, as settings is already on that menu. And chatgpt is referencing a prior version (pre 102) version of thunderbird when 'options' was a menu entry. If using menu bar, look for tools>Settings>general. if using hamburger menu, click settings>general
