Prevent Firefox from storing form entries

If you don't want Firefox to remember what you've entered into form fields, you can turn off the auto form fill feature: 3.5/3.6:

  1. At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, click on the ToolsFirefoxEdit menu, and select Options...Preferences....
  2. Select the Privacy panel.
  3. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
  4. Remove the check mark from the box that says Remember search and form history.
  5. Click OK to close the Options windowClick Close to close the Preferences windowClose the Preferences window.

I have done the above steps and it still saves this info even after rebooting. I do not want it to save these. Help.

Removing the check mark from "Remember search and form history" will only prevent Firefox from saving new form data. It won't remove data that was previously saved. You have to remove that old data yourself. See Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox

Firefox shouldn't save new data though.
